a CFA, he is also a Board member of the CFA Institute and was a fixed-income fund manager at the Asian Development Bank in Manila. He is now a partner at Optiminvest and Reserve Currency Solutions, which specializes in currency overlay management, and serves as a foreign exchange advisor to a micro finance fund in a developing economy. Previously, he was head of financial engineering and risk analytics at Pictet & Cie in Geneva, CIO at Olsen Ltd and a high-energy physicist at CERN. Giuseppe also lectures at the University of Lausanne, where he is a member of the Steering Committee of the Master in Finance programme. He holds a laurea (MS) in physics from the University of Bologna, an MBA and a PhD in high-energy physics. He authored more than fifty academic publications in physics and finance. His wide and deep experience will help us tremendously in risk management.
